Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are needed in several internal functions of the body. They are classified as 'essential' or 'non-essential', with essential amino acids meaning they cannot be manufactured by the body and must be supplied in the diet to maintain good all-around health. Amino acids can be further used by the body to create hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, antibodies and nutrient carriers. An inadequate intake of essential amino acids increases the body's need for non-essential amino acids either through diet or supplementation. Foods which increase amino acid intake are meat, beans, cheese and eggs. L-Glutathione is formed by linking 3 amino acids, namely Glutamic Acid, Cysteine and Glycerine. It is involved in the amino acid transport across cell membranes. Solgar Maximised L-Glutathione Reduced 250 mg is a convenient 1 vegetable capsule a daily dose, providing a high level of this important amino acid.

Suitable for vegan, vegetarian and kosher diets. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Free from dairy, gluten, lactose, soy, starch, sugar, sweeteners, wheat, yeast and salt. Cruelty-free.

Directions of use:

• As a food supplement for adults, one vegetable capsule daily, preferably at mealtime or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
