When Should I Wear Sunscreen?
The short answer is all the time. Yes, even in winter. The suns rays penetrate through cloud, so even though it may look overcast or cloudy outside, the sun can still cause damage to your skin. Ideally you should apply sunscreen at least 030 minutes before sun exposure and then one again just before.
Where Should I Apply Sunscreen?
Everywhere that is exposed to the sun. The most common places people forget are the face, ears and tops of the feet if you’re wearing sandals.
How Much Should I Apply?
Most of us are guilty of applying far too little sunscreen, especially when it comes to our face. Sunscreen shouldn’t be applied like moisturiser, it should be applied fairly thickly to the skin in order to fully protect it. The standard amount for your face is 2-3 finger lengths depending on your face size.
How Should I Apply It?
The TikTok vide above shows how to correctly apply your sunscreen, but in short apply 2-3 finger lengths to your face and neck, rub this in gently, wait for 10 minutes to allow the cream to absorb and then finally rub the cream in again to ensure it’s all blended. Once you have completed this you can start to apply your usual primers or makeup.
