Highlighting or strobing, whatever you want to call it, isn’t an elaborate process or entirely new skill to add to your beauty regime. It’s simply a simple extra step that brings attention to your cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow by making them lighter.
We have (with difficulty!) picked our 5 favourite highlighters for Summer ’17.
1. Make it Dewy by Milani
If you’ve been chasing the “perfect dewy” skin for years now, I feel this is an essential product to achieve the look. The spray is a simple pump, it disperses a fair amount and gives a glowing, dewy effect to skin/makeup, it’s hydrating, illuminating and it sets makeup. 2. Sleek MakeUp – Cleopatras Palette
And God said… let there be light! This palette is beautifully pigmented & was actually my first highlighting palette which I love and keep coming back to. The palette consists of two cream shades (Delta & Dynasty) and two powder shades (Sphinx & Goddess). The creams create a gorgeous luminous sheen and the powders give a more dramatic, metallic finish to the skin.
3. The Balm – Mary-Lou Manizer AKA The Luminzer
In an adorable handy compact, Mary-Lou can be used as either a highlighter, eyeshadow or a shimmer whilst simultaneously diffusing light to leave your skin looking softer and younger with a subtle glow. Sweep over cheeks for a sexy sheen or use all over for any finishing touches to your look. It’s super soft, can be subtle or built up with ease, lights up the whole face, makes the world of difference! Use this highlighter as an inner corner highlight as well. I feel this is the perfect colour for medium skin tones.
4. W7 COSMETICS – Glowcomotion Shimmer, Highlighter & Eyeshadow Compact Powder
If you are on a tight budget then this is the Highlighter for you! This gold coloured shimmer highlighter will give your skin a radiant glow when brushed over your cheekbones. Very affordable and gives a lovely natural glow!
5. Milani Strobelight Glow Powder
Great for buildable glow. Available in 7 different shades to compliment every skin tone. The glitter formulation is very fine and subtle, hence doesn’t look chalky at all. Sweep across cheekbones for a super gorgeous finish with a lovely natural glow.
