I’m excited to try out the Milani 2 in 1 Perfect Foundation. I went for the shade Creamy Vanilla.
I applied by buffing the foundation into my skin using the buffing brush by Real Techniques from their Core Collection.
I only needed to use a little bit of foundation but it went on silky smooth, I tend not to need a lot of foundation as I’m blemish free and prefer a more natural finish. Nothing makes me cringe more seeing beauty bloggers piling layers upon layers of foundation when they don’t need it! The foundation smells good too, like Shea Butter. By using only a little it gave my skin a really natural dewy finish which I love and overall it made my skin look smoother and softer.
A little goes a long way, you have a lot of buildable coverage with this foundation, it’s mattifying but not too mattifying that it drys your face out! If you want to have the full matte finish simply add another layer. On better skin days you can simply use it as a concealer under the eyes and on any small blemishes.
After a few hours, I checked that my bronzer & blush were still in place and they were. As I have a combination skin type (usually oily around the T-Zone and occasionally suffer from the odd patch of dryness) the foundation would tend to move off my nose, which was no problem as it simply needed the odd touch up during the day with some powder. At the end of the day, I was impressed with how my makeup stayed in place.
Pros
It is really good at covering redness, dark circles and any small blemishes.
Gives a natural finish, by using this product it will hide everything, and I mean everything… so if you suffer from discolouration, acne or scarring, I highly recommend this foundation.
I love the packaging, it comes in clear packaging so you can see exactly how much you have left!
Cons
It’s not best for oily skin, but touching up will help it last longer.
For me, personally, it’s too much foundation… I tend to look for a lightweight, hydrating foundation with SPF that’s sheer yet pigmented enough to brighten my skin and ease dullness as I am blemish free. For nights it’s an ideal foundation for me!
Overall, I am impressed with this foundation which gives you the best, both in terms of performance and affordable price tag.
