Core Collection
Buffing Brush use with powder & mineral foundation for full coverage application
My favourite brush in the set! I use this brush daily for applying my foundation. It gives an airbrushed finish which I love.
Contour Brush create striking definition
This brush works perfectly for getting into the hollows of your cheeks and forming the perfect contour line. It really does work perfectly!
Pointed Foundation Brush use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
I felt this brush was a little too small to use with liquid foundation on my face. However, I found it perfect for under-eye concealer and covering any small blemishes. I used a dabbing technique and it gave me so much more coverage. Super soft for the delicate eye area.
Detailer Brush effortlessly conceal problem areas using the precision-cut
Very tiny! At first thought, I felt this was too small to use on my face! However, I found it perfect for applying eyeshadow and highlighter to the corner of my eyes as well as smudging eyeliner along my lower lashline.
Real Techniques Eyes Starter Kit
As the name suggests, this Real Techniques set features everything you need for eyeshadow application and everything to do with eye make-up. Let’s take a closer look!
Deluxe Crease Brush soft & oversized designed for effortless contouring
This brush is an amazing blending brush. It’s round, really dense yet soft and blends my eyeshadow in like no other brush has! Adore.
Base Shadow Brush use with your favourite eyeshadow to create gorgeous eye looks
This is a great brush for applying colour to your lid. I’ve been using a patting motion to apply eyeshadow on your lid. Another great multi-tasker!
Accent Brush ideal for precision work
This is one nifty little brush. It’s ideal for a whole range of tasks! I found it was perfect for smudging eyeliner close to the lashline, as well as dotting highlighter into the inner corners of the eyes. I guess it would work well applying both lipstick or eyeliner! It’s just the right amount of stiffness whilst being soft and non-scratchy.
Fine Liner Brush use to apply either liquid or cream eyeliner accurately
I found this brush could easily create thick or fine lines depending on how much pressure you use. It tapers to a very fine point to give you a clean point and line. I use it with either my brown or black gel line and they worked perfectly!
Brow Brush shape & define your eyebrows with ease
To be honest, I didn’t use this on my eyebrows, but I found it perfect for smudging eyeshadow into the corners of my eyelids using a circular motion. Works well when blending eyeshadow underneath the lash line too!
Miracle Complexion Sponge
The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is one funky shaped sponge. It has a tapered/more pointed tip which works really well around the eyes or covering up any blemishes you may have. The other section of the sponge where it looks like it’s been sliced off works perfectly for getting into the creases around the nostrils and contouring the nose.
To use run the sponge under a tap until it expands, and then squeeze the excess water out, you’re aiming for a damp sponge not sodden wet. It’s an odd concept but works really well. I found it gave me a really flawless base for the rest of my make up. I also found it used the blender to take off any excess make up and left me with an airbrushed finish.
All Real Technique brushes are made with Taklon bristles, meaning they’re ultra-plush, smooth & 100% cruelty-free. They are easy to wash and dry quickly. All Real Technique brushes come in a handy travel case too!
