We’re always looking for the latest and greatest nail art inspiration so where better to look to this month than the skies? As rockets, Catherine wheels, Roman candles, and sparklers whizz, bang, and shine their way through the week, here are our favourite firework-themed nails.
The Classic

The most literal take on firework inspo, @peacockpienz has gone for an eye-catchingly realistic display on her talons. Copy the look at home with a base of black nail polish and fireworks bursts painted in blues, oranges, and greens (we love OPI Infinite Shine To Infinity and Blue-yond, CND Vinylux Electric Orange, and Morgan Taylor Supreme in Green). Top tip: Go over the inside of each burst with white nail polish and then use a darker version of each colour to add lifelike detail.

These miniature skylines by @brujarose are just adorable. Resembling cute comic book nails, they’re the perfect option for those of you who want their nail art to like pop art. You’ll need a dark blue nail polish like CND Vinylux Blue Rapture for the sky, black nail polish for the skyline, yellow for the cute little windows, and a multicoloured set (like OPI Color Paints) for the fireworks.

If the brightest colour you’d be seen dead in is gold, these are the fireworks nails for you. Ideal for die-hard fashionistas who cringe at colour, this black and gold design from @kelsiesnailfile is oh-so classy. To get the look at home, grab a glittery gold shade like OPI Up Front & Personal.

Not everyone has the skill (or time!) to illustrate entire fireworks displays on their fingertips so if you’re after an easy Guy Fawkes mani, @mirandasnailsbristol has the answer. Simply sweep on a night sky shade in black or blue then finish with a glittery top coat for a fireworks-like effect. We recommend OPI Desperately Seeking Sequins or Gellux Gel Polish Asteroid 3D Glitter.
